Choose life!


Tanto per continuare con la saga dei monologhi, ve ne propongo subito un altro...tratto da una "perla" degli anni '90. Dedicato a Fede che e' una delle poche persone ad aver ammesso di leggere il mio blog.
Benche' il titolo del mio post sia "choose life"...no...non si tratta di quel monologo a cui state pensando voi...anche se il film (e il libro da cui e' tratto) e' lo stesso. Solo che, il monologo che vi propongo io, attualmente... mi rispecchia un po' di piu'...

An anonymous love letter...

This morning, I was set on the metro... Victoria line from Brixton to Oxford Street tube station, like almost every day. I just started my new lecture, who will keep me company for the next months on my tube and bus travels, around London: "Il buddah delle periferie" by Hanif Kureshi. It's in Italian...I should read in English, I know... but I had any "virgin book" at home this morning...and no enough time to go and borrow something from the library. So I opted for this one, which is, also, a gift from a good friend of mine. Anyway...sorry...that's not the point of my post...

I was set, next to the door, still sleepy and absorbed with my lecture...when I noticed next to mee, a guy, on his 30s... holding a piece of paper in his hand. His eyes were red and his face was completely covered by his long hair... I couldn't see much of his expression...

The piece of paper was fully written, by a very fancy hand-writing. It started with these words: "If you are reading this letter, it means that it's Tuesday the 20th of October. And it means that I won't be with you anymore..."

The long letter was going on for both sides... I couldn't read all, of course I couldn't...! But the few sentences I could spy, were such desperate and sincere words by a girl totally in love with a guy, that she had been obliged to leave, no one knows for which reason.

Looking through the lines, I could read how detailing she described the way how they were used to have breakfast together...and how she was going to miss all that, so much.

We arrived at Oxford Street tube station...I had to get off... I put aside my book (which I honestly didn't read much...). The guy dried his cheeks with his hand, put the letter back inside the envelope and hid it inside the pocket of his coat. He left the train behind me...ready to start another day.

It really seems like a déjà-vu to me.

Sorry guys, I thought it was the right post to re-open my blog again.

Un po' di sana rabbia mattutina...


Scusatemi, so che ormai é una vergogna parlare di questo "coso" come di un blog, in quanto i post non diventano solo sempre più sporadici, bensí sempre piú insignificanti... (Si chiama "blocco dello scrittore", tranquilli... anche Shakespeare lo ha avuto...dice...)

Comunque...notwithstanding this... dato che ieri mi sono rivista alcuni spezzoni della 25ª ora e mi sono svegliata un po'irosa e stizzita... vi appiccico qua quel grande sproloquio fatto dal bel Edwar Norton (god bless him!) nei panni di Monty, sperando di fare arrabbiare anche un po' voi... :)

In culo agli ebrei ortodossi, che vanno su' e giù per la quarantasettesima, nei loro soprabiti imbiancati di forfora, a vendere diamanti del Sudafrica dell'apartheid.

In culo agli agenti di Borsa di Wall Street, che pensano di essere i padroni dell'universo. Quei figli di puttana si sentono come Michael Douglas-Gordon Gekko e pensano a nuovi modi per derubare la povera gente che lavora. Sbattete dentro quegli stronzi della Enron a marcire per tutta la vita. E Bush e Cheney non sapevano niente di quel casino? Ma fatemi il cazzo di piacere! In culo alla Tyco, alla ImClone, alla Adelphia, alla WordCom!

In culo ai portoricani, venti in una macchina, e fanno crescere le spese dell'assistenza sociale. E non fatemi parlare di quei pipponi dei dominicani! Al loro confronto i portoricani sono proprio dei fenomeni.

In culo agli italiani di Bensonhurst, con i loro capelli impomatati, le loro tute di nylon, le loro medagliette di Sant'Antonio. Che agitano la loro mazza da baseball firmata Jason Giambi sperando in un'audizione per I Soprano.

In culo alle signore dell'Upper-East Side, con i loro foulard di Herme e i loro carciofi di Balducci da 50 dollari, con le loro facce pompate di silicone, truccate, laccate e liftate: non riuscite ad ingannare nessuno vecchie befane.

In culo ai negri di Harlem. Non passano mai la palla, non vogliono giocare in difesa, fanno cinque passi per arrivare sotto canestro, poi si girano e danno la colpa al razzismo dei bianchi. La schiavitù è finita centotrentasette anni fa. E muovete le chiappe, è ora!

In culo ai poliziotti corrotti che impalano i poveri cristi e li crivellano con quarantuno proiettili nascosti dietro il loro muro d'omertà. Avete tradito la nostra fiducia!

In culo ai preti, che mettono le mani nei pantaloni di bambini innocenti. In culo alla chiesa, che li protegge non liberandoci dal male. E dato che ci siamo, ci metto anche Gesù Cristo. Se l'è cavata con poco. Un giorno sulla croce, un weekend all'inferno, e poi gli alleluia degli angeli per il resto dell'eternità. Provi a passare sette anni nel carcere di Otisville.

In culo a Osama Bin Laden, a Al Qaeda e a quei cavernicoli retrogradi dei fondamentalisti di tutto il mondo. In nome delle migliaia di innocenti assassinati, vi auguro di passare il resto dell'eternità con le vostre settantadue puttane ad arrostire a fuoco lento all'inferno. Stronzi cammellieri con l'asciugamano in testa, baciate le mie nobili palle irlandesi!

Lack of mind...


Sorry everybody (every-who?! Well...let's say everybody, just to say something...)

I just would like to apologize since it's such a long time I'm not writing here.
The point is that everyday I spend too much of my fucking time, sitting, reading and typing in front of a computer and, if I have some free moment at night, I don't feel like using it to keep on staying in front of a keyboard...

Sorry! I need to read, or write, or watch a movie, or whatever...

I'll keep on writing my blog as soon as something will change.

Volevo solo dormirle addosso


In realtà questo post non è stato creato solo in funzione del film di Eugenio Cappuccio, dal titolo, appunto, "Volevo solo dormirle addosso". Diciamo piuttosto che questo film è stato lo spunto per me di una riflessione un po' triste ma, dal mio modestissimo punto di vista, molto vera.

Sarà che, ultimamente, dire di essere stressati è di gran moda, anzi...diciamo pure che se non soffri un po' di stress, non hai frequenti crisi di pianto o attacchi di panico sei un po' out. Non perchè la gente non abbia ragioni serie per tutto questo...ci mancherebbe... è solo che, sempre piú spesso, tendiamo a vivere per il nostro lavoro, solo e soltanto in funzione di esso.
In un Paese in cui circa l'8,6% della popolazione è disoccupato da piú di 3 anni, diciamo che - saggiamente- chi ha un lavoro (e magari anche abbastanza gratificante) fa bene a tenerselo stretto. Il problema nasce però nel momento in cui il lavoro e la vita privata si fondono assieme: due anime in un solo corpo - se vogliamo dare un'interpretazione un po' piú romantica della questione.

Ammetto ad essere la prima ad accumulare un quantitativo tale di impegni e di appuntamenti da far accapponare la pelle...per cui, non faccio molto testo...
Il vero problema che è però importante da sottolineare si ha nel momento in cui la vita sentimentale viene totalmente e barbaramente sradicata e relegata nei momenti liberi tra un impegno e l'altro (come il film docet per l'appunto).

Purtroppo non ci rendiamo conto che, presi da mille riunioni, bilanci, pranzi di lavoro, ecc... riduciamo la vita privata alla nostra sfera sessuale. Diventa per cui naturale passare con il/la proprio/a partner solo il momento della sera, scopando (opss...facendo l'amore, scusate... pare che scopare sia un termine dispregiativo) e dormendo addosso all'altra persona per cercarne il contatto fisico, ovvero quello che è mancato per tutta la giornata.

Divertente... penso che chi mi conosce personalmente, o chi ha avuto modo di discutere con me per almeno 10 minuti non mi avrebbe mai fatta capace di fare certi discorsi... E invece boh... piú mi guardo attorno e piú vedo - con amarezza - di come ci stiamo buttando via, di come spesso sciupiamo i rapporti con gli altri, rendendocene conto ma facendo finta di nulla...tanto siamo così bravi nel farlo, io inclusa forse...

It's like when you buy a cigarette-pack and it's written on that it damages your health... But who the hell told you I want to keep myself in a good health?!!! And if I just would like destroying my health, because I don't give a shit about it?!!!

I hope not...

Never create problems when it's not necessary... World is full enough of bullshits and fake complaints.

Just sorry I chose the wrong time again...and again...again...again..........

Impossible to lock myself into a glass-ball...even if sometimes it would have been better.

Often people do things that it was better if they would have never done 'em...and forgot or hide important and special words to say...
That's my style...always keeping on making the same mistakes...

Time is a circle...

Mi pare, a volte, che il mio sangue fiotti come una fontana dai ritmici singhiozzi. Lo sento colare con un lungo murmure, ma mi tasto invano in cerca d'una ferita.

Fluisce attraverso la città come per un campo recintato e trasforma i selciati in isolotti, cava la sete a ogni creatura, tinge la natura in rosso.

Spesso al vino capzioso ho chiesto di addormire per un giorno il terrore che m'assilla; ma il vino rende l'occhio più acuto e l'orecchio più fino.

Ho cercato nell'amore il sonno dell'oblio; ma l'amore, per me, non è che un materasso d'aghi fatto per procurare da bere a crudeli puttane.

Il sentimento del senso di colpa è un concetto puramente cattolico, che, sia per pura osmosi che per un effettivo radicamento nel nostro tessuto sociale, è diventato oggi parte integrante nella costruzione dei rapporti con le persone attorno a noi...
Coadiuvato magari da una deliziosa compagna che è la menzogna, e, a discapito piuttosto, di un altro elemento basilare quale il dialogo.

E' inutile nascondersi dietro la parvenza di una dieta poco equilibrata, e a base di Mc Donald's per giustificare le ulcere quotidiane e i mal di stomaco diari...

Le parole, volendo, sono pesanti come macigni, e si appoggiano tra lo sterno e l'ombelico come fossero cuscini.
Io non credo a chi ritira ciò che dice... ogni parola, prima di uscire, viene ponderata e pesata - come fossimo al mercato.

Il giorno in cui impareró a fare un uso proprio della lingua ve lo faró sapere, ve lo prometto...! :)
Al momento, se solo mi guardo indietro e penso all'imbarazzane mix che ho sempre fatto tra menzogna, dialgo e senso di colpa, quasi quasi lo trovo commuovente...
Con gli anni, impareró l'arte del parlare (non solo per me ma anche per gli altri), ve lo prometto...

Festival time!!

How are u doing?
Actually, last period has been quite exciting! I mean...no big changes in my life, of course, but, from the end of June and the end of July, Florence and its neighbourhood make an incredible change, becoming much more alive than usual!

Since I keep on being always busy and out of every kind of normal conception of space and time, I forgot to update you of all the last things I've done... like the AMAZING Sigur Rós concert! - Kind of alternative band from Iceland which plays a sort of tripping/introspective music.

After that I went to Italia Wave in Livorno - an happy remake of the old and glorious Arezzo Wave. Really, it was cool!! Livorno is a very chilling out city, and it gave a warm welcome to the Festival.
The big concert of the evening was by CHEMICAL BROTHERS!! They really made an amazing performance, which lasted around 2 hours! Kind of exhausting, guys!
This evening has also been particulary enjoyable, because I went there with two CSers (Daniele and Susan) and we got on extrimely well! Actually - destroyed after the concert - we decided to crash in a pine - forest near the beach! The power of tireness!! :)

Afterall, the last event I took part in, has been the GoaBoa Festival in Genova, where Bluvertio and Manu Chao played! Another amazing moment I'd say! I was there with my friend Irene, and we were hosted by Marco, a CSer from Genova.
U know what... actually I've never been a big Manu Chao supporter, but...I've to admit that he has really been great for the concert! He palyed from 00:30 till 3:00...and, believe me, for a while I desired him to stop playing, since every sinle bone of my body was hurting!! But...anyhow I can say to have suffered several "war-wounds"! :)

Right guys, sorry... I know it's not the best post I could have written, but... I feel my head a little empty, and...perhaps it will be better if I'm going to rest a little bit...

Per dire NO ai CPT in Toscana!

Questo post scritto così di corsa...solo per informarvi di un'azione di protesta che porterà avanti nei prossimi 3 giorni (15-16-17 luglio) Saverio Tommasi: attore e regista fiorentino.
Per protestare ad un possibile sottoscrizione del Comune di Firenze e della Regione Toscana alla costruzione di un Centro di Permanenza Temporanea anche nella nostra beneamata Toscana, Saverio Tommasi si rinchiuderà (letteralmente parlando) per 3 giorni e 2 notti in una gabbia posta su un camioncino parcheggiato nel piazzale Michelangelo a Firenze.

Welcome back Martina!!


Che dire?! Che emozione... Giuro... mi sto emozionando... Riscrivere sul mio blog dopo 5 mesi di assenza... dopo ben 5 mesi.
É passato cosí tanto tempo che per poco non avevo perso la speranza di poter ancora avere qualcosa da scrivere su questo mio foglio virtuale.
In questi mesi non ho smesso di scrivere volutamente, ma, molto semplicemente, non ho avuto gli stimoli giusti per farlo.
Non saprei neanche come spiegare, ma... questi mesi che hanno seguito la mia laurea e il mio "debutto" nel mondo del lavoro (se pur precario...), se da un lato mi hanno resa in costante movimento ed in perenne attivitá (entrambe cose a me assai gradite), dall'altro mi hanno resa una persona sterile e priva di emozioni forti.
Mi sembra quasi impossibile pensare di non aver scritto per ben 5 mesi. Sopratutto perché di cose ne ho fatte in questi mesi...eccome se ne ho fatte. E, inoltre, perché per me scrivere é un po' una mania, una forma di liberazione...
Eppure, apparentemente, niente di tutto ció mi ha dato una motivazione sufficiente per rimettermi a scrivere, durante le mie notti insonni e pensierose, due righe sulla mia vita.

E anche vero che, aprendo questo blog, mi ero promessa di evitare di fare un' ennesima copia di un diario virtuale di stronzate, come tanti se ne vedono a giro... Ma CHI puó decidere cosa é una stronzata e cosa invece non lo é? Beh, non certo io.

Ad ogni modo, l'intento principale di questo blog era quello di aggiornare costantemente sui vari spostamenti della mia vita costantemente itinerante chiunque avesse avuto piacere a leggermi. Non a caso questo blog era stato aperto durante il mio Erasmus a Copenhagen, con, inoltre, la precisa intenzione di essere aggiornato sempre in inglese. Non tanto perché scrivere in inglese "fa figo" e fa sí che la gente ti dica: "...accipicchia...come sei brava..." (cazzo!!); bensí per la possibilitá di condividere con quanta piú gente in questo mondo le proprie esperienze.


Molto spesso, in questi mesi, ho riletto tutto ciò che avevo scritto mentre ero in Danimarca, o mentre ero in Libano...insomma, mentre nn ero qua. Ogni vota mi ripetevo sempre che avrei riniziato a scrivere non appena avessi trovato un attimo libero. Eppure, durante tutte le mie notte insonni e turbate (o...insonni e serene... perché no?!) non ho mai voluto scrivere una sola parola.
Io ho un carattere difficile, me ne rendo conto. Molto testardo e volitivo.
Non é stato semplice adattarmi a vivere una realtá normale, con una serie di lavori che, per quanto siano tutti interessanti e gratificanti, ti costringono in una routine che é quella che ogni essere umano vive e che l'uomo moderno ha raggiunto con l'ingresso in società. Per non parlare della mia batosta morale di essere tornata a vivere coi miei, nella mia città natale, al mio punto di partenza. Ovviamente, tutte queste difficoltà sono state create solo e soltanto dal mio brutto carattere... senza dubbio.
Quando ti trovi difronte a certe situazioni, la cosa più immediata da fare é quella di tentare, in tutti i modi, di aggrapparsi alla normalitá, e di conformarsi alla vita dei tuoi amici. E dunque...che fai?! Ti cerchi un ragazzo, frequenti la vita mondana della tua cittá, vai al cinema il mercoledí (perché il biglietto costa meno), fai gli aperitivi il giovedí, vai alle feste il venerdí, e a cena fuori di sabato. La domenica, beh...la domenica ti spacchi il cazzo...ovvio, come no?! La domenica ti spacchi le palle da morire. Eh sí, sí, sí...perché tutte le tue amiche sono le fidanzate-modello d'Italia, e non ti accompagneranno mai al cinema, o a teatro, o a una mostra, o a una cazzo di passeggiata in un parco. E tu, invece, tu, che, presa da un attacco di colite, hai deciso che la vita di coppia non faceva più per te, perché, dopo aver ingoiato fin troppi rospi ed esserti sentita una merda per le prime due ore della mattina, ti sei finalmente resa conto che questa relazione sarebbe stata meno dolorosa se portata avanti a suon di schiaffi...devi tentare di sbaracre questa giornata pessima non vedendo l'ora che arrivi il lunedí mattina per tornare in ufficio e ricominciare con la routine quotidiana che, se non altro, ha il beneficio di annullare i tuoi pensieri.

E bene, detto ció (ovvero, non avendo detto proprio nulla...), potrei anche decidere qui di rimettermi a scrivere facendo un breve sunto dei miei eventi passati. Ma, scusatemi, non ne ho voglia e, più che altro, non amo vivere di ricordi. Per cui penso che da ora in poi andrò solo avanti.
Suppongo che, questo mio entusiasmo immotivato sia dettato dalla consapevolezza che ad Ottobre me ne andrò, per un anno e mezzo circa. Sono stata accettata a prendere parte al Master MIM in Mediazione Inter Mediterranea. La prima tappa (di 3 mesi sarà Barcellona) e questa é una gran cosa per me.
Non so cosa aspettarmi, so solo che per il momento sono ancora qua con tanti progetti ancora da terminare prima di partire...tra cui spicca sopratutto il festival a cui sto lavorando con lo Stensen Le Giornate del Cinema Europeo di Firenze di cui avrò modo di parlarvi col tempo.

Non so che dire, non so come ringraziarvi, per avermi permesso questo sfogo notturno come bello. È come quando si avvicina il periodo dei saldi, e le scarpe troppo belle che volevi da una vita sono lí, sono in vetrina, ma, ahimé, sono di un numero piú piccolo. Le compi, 'sti cazzi, son belle! E poi, vedrai...le hanno tutti. Le metti, ci cammini, le sfoggi a giro, e, cristo, ti fanno un male...ti fanno cosí male... Al punto che, il momento più bello della giornata è quando te le levi, quando ti levi le tue fottutissime scarpe che hai comprato per adeguarti ma che ti fanno bestemmiare. È come avere una pelle stretta, una pelle non tua, un qualcosa che tutti posseggono ma che tu, in realtà, non avresti voluto fino a pochi mesi fa e che, in cuor tuo, continui a non volere.
Nel rileggere le mie pagine di Copenhagen ho pianto come una bambina, per oltre mezz'ora, senza produrre un suono. Ho pianto perché ho visto me stessa e la mia vitalità, il mio entusiasmo tipico nel fare le cose, che, da un po' di tempo a questa parte mi sembra di aver perso. Ho pianto perché forse, la mia mania di auto-lesionismo mi ha portato a forzarmi ad amare cose che, di istinto, non avrei mai amato. Ma la vita é anche compromessi, ed io sono felice di esservi scesa a patti.
Adesso è bello, adesso è bellissimo. È come quando provi un orgasmo dalla pancia, o dalla punta dei piedi. È come quando non ti vergogni a dire che stai bene.
Penso che con un po' di calma e pazienza imparerò a far rivivere la mia curiosità, i miei affetti, il mio interesse per gli altri - ultimamente del tutto annientato, la mia diversità.

Scusate per questa filippica. Posso dire di avere la certezza che nessuno che ha iniziato a leggere questo post avrà finito di leggerlo.
Ad ogni modo, questa sfogo era anche e sopratutto per me - beh, un po' del mio lato egoistico affiora anche qui!!
Le persone che, invece, conoscendomi, lo hanno letto e si sono trovate citate, avranno il buon cuore di perdonarmi. Chi non mi conosce, probabilmente penserà che sono una pazza...ma, va bene così.

So prevedible...

Hi guys,
sorry... I know that's such a long time I don't write anything here...
Unfortunately, my life in the last period, has been really cahotic, and, while I'm trying to sort out something concrete...everything seems to be always more floating and flebile...

I just would like to inform you about the last accident which happened to me, trying to organize the screening of a very well-done movie concerning the Palestinese cause: "Jenin Jenin" by Mohammed Bakri.
This movie is very particular, since the director, which is Israelian, has been judged, out of the blue of course, by the israelian Government, because this film hass been defined un-real from the israelian point of view. The consequence is that, now, Bakri can't work anylonger and it risks the jail.
I saw the film once at "La cité" of Florence, and...honestly... I can only say a fact, a real historical fact. That's their problem, fuck!
Of cours they want to hide the truth, by avoding the puclic views of the document, and that's what happened laso to me and to my friends, while trying to arganizing this public screening.
The Internation center, which invited us, at the last momen, canceled the event, saying that they had a "diplomatic" problem with tha Israelian part, who denied to come to the debate because they declare that the Israelian part wasn't enough rapresentative of the political situation.
Fuck 'em all!!

So...that's the result guys! The screening has been canceled, and, until we'll have "new orders" it won't be possible to show the doucmentary! That0s crazy, people! C'est fou!!

How the hell should they get to an armistice, if it's impossible even organzing a public screening of a movie?!!!

I beg your pardon...

Yep, it's like that... I beg your pardon because I didn't write anylonger about my trip in Lebanon.
It's my fault, totally my fault, and I don't have many excuses... but, maybe I can try to justify myself somehow...

I don't know how to start, really.
I think that the things I experienced there have been too strong and too private for me...that I couldn't write them on my blog. It's not bacause I didn't want to share with you my stories...it's not that. But, sometimes I felt the impossibility to write them, simply because I wasn't able to express my feelings into words.
I knew that the time I was spending there was so short, that often I really didn't want to use this few hours in order to stay in front of a computer, writing...
I just prefered living those hours staying with people, and talking, laughing, living with them.
At the end I had a kind of refuse for internet and for the whole technology in general...even if, actually, I was there in order to run a lab about media.
The point is that, I was spending so much time in front of a pc, that I didn't want to spend also my free time in the same way.

I'm sorry...I'm really really really sorry with you about that.

I'll try to go on with my story, piece by piece, now that I'm back in Italy. Even if, I'll tell you the truth, it's not that easy for me.

When I came home, I felt the distance between my life there and the world I am part of. Yesterday morning (the first morning I was in Italy) I didn't want to wak up from my bed, 'coz I didn't want to realize that I wasn't in Burj anylonger. And I didn't want to discover that I was really alone here, without my mates and, expecially, without my palestinian and my lebanese friends.
Honestly, I don't want you to think that now I'm becoming a kind of "luminated person"...I'm still the same. It's just that, my body and my mind were used to live without certain kind of comforts, so, now, even having hot water and the electricity seems trange to me. This morning, when I got up, it was strange even wearing a pair of high shoes, or to think about I could have a real hot shower and a complete breakfast.
Compared with the problems I was experiencing there, every single thing seems to have less importance here. I discovered that my problems, are not real problems, and that I can easily live without distroying my mind around them.
I don't know...sometimes it seems that everything here has no sense, or maybe it should have one...but I can't catch it.

Well,, ok...when I'll have some pics and a better mood, I'll write something more interesting about my last days in Lebanon.

An unusual Christmas day

Since here I can't update you with my news as much as I would like, I decided to write down only the events who has been more important for me till now, during this period.

For sure, I can really say to have had one of the more unusual Christmas day of my life. For the day of the 25th I was working wit hthe kids of Burji-Al-Shamali, which a muslim village and so they don't celebrate Christmas of course.
We had a view of the whole village, which really impressed me, since, till that moment, we hadn't any chance to get out of "home"...
It has been really marvelous, since we could be part of the everyday life of those people, entering (not so easily of course...) in their homes, and shooting the women who were keeping in hiding their beautiful faces.

It was so cute when one of the girl dressed up herseld like Santa Clause to wish us a Merry Christmas! So cute!! :)

One feet in Lebanon!

Ok...this evening internet seems to be nice with us...so I'll try to write something more.

I let you narrating how we finally managed to crodd the border between Syrian and Lebanon. It took almost one hour to complete all the burocracy stuff...and, I understood thta in arabian countires, the important is paying! When you pay some extras, you'll be able to go everywhere.
When we arrived on the other side, we have been involved in a "tripping trip" with the Coran prayer as a soundtrack. We kept on driving for more than 1 hour and a half, without saying a single word. When we reached the meeting point we met Jack which came to pick us up and bring us to the hostel (relious staff again...arggg, double argggg!) where the others were waiting for us.
The dream was reality now: we were in Lebanon, in Beirut. And everything was looking so fantastic, everything was shining, like in Istanbuyl. It was almost impossible believing that such a modern and bright city was the cenario of a evil war.

After a few we met Ilaria, Alessia, Ali (a Lebanese friend which at the moment is hre with us in the camp) and Marinello in that place, and we decided to go eating something outside. We found a kind of left-wing pseudo-artistic club, where we drunk like animals and we eat in a wonderful way. After the whilw the atmosphere started to became "interesting" and we started dancing like crazy...arabian music of course! :) It's there where me and Elisa signed a pact with ourselves: we decided that we had to learn how to be real females emulating the arabians!! What a style...what a sensivitness! Really great!
In that place I also met the most beautiful guy I've ever seen! Believe me! I never seen such a deep and light blue eyes. Wow! Well...I think that who told me that Lebaneses are the typical arabian beauty for excellence...saied right! :P

Well...we came back "home" stisfied and happy to be have started this adventure with the best mood ever!

technical problems...

Hello guys, I'm really sorry, but today I'll have to skip the update of my trip. We had several technical problems during the day about the internet connection... that's why now we're really late with the job and I have no time to write about my stuff...

Tomorrow there will be the beginning of the laboratories with the guys...we're preatty excited! :)
